ABOUT THIS GRANT
Arthur E. Klinkacek wanted to give back to his community and he did just that with a gift of more than $2 million to the Kearney Area Community Foundation from his estate. In honor of Arthur Klinkacek’s wishes to help communities and youth in the Kearney area for years to come, the Kearney Area Community Foundation created charitable funds to be used for scholarships for area youth, as well as community preservation and enrichment purposes.
The Arthur Klinkacek Community Enrichment Fund typically grants funds to projects or programs in the Kearney area and surrounding communities. Grants are made to nonprofit, federally tax-exempt 501(c)(3) qualified organizations, or organizations delivering a project or program which have a fiscal relationship with a qualified charity.
HOW TO APPLY
-
Review the Arthur Klinkacek Community Enrichment (AKCE) Grant Guidelines to make sure your organization qualifies to be considered for a grant.
-
Since these grants may be larger and more competitive, there will be a Letter of Intent (LOI) form and review process. Once the LOI is approved, nonprofits will be given access to an online grant application, unique to the Arthur Klinkacek Community Enrichment Fund.
-
Complete an online AKCE Letter of Intent (LOI). The online link is available by clicking the "LETTER OF INTENT" button below. Follow the instructions on the Login page. No grant proposals will be considered without an online application.
-
Applications must be submitted online on or before April 15 or October 15 for the Review Cycle.
-
All questions on the online application need to be answered. Supporting documents are required (see guidelines).
NOTE: Cycle dates for this grant have changed. See updated dates in step 4 above.
Don’t forget to allow time for your LOI submittal and approval, which are required before the link to the application is given. The deadline for the LOI is 15 days before the due date of the application.
If you would like to discuss a grant idea, verify if your proposal or organization qualifies, or if you have any questions at all, please call (308) 237-3114.
