The Kearney Area Community Foundation manages over 30 scholarship funds. The crtieria for these scholarships are varied, so please take a moment to search our scholarships to determine if you are eligible to apply.

The Nonprofit Exchange
The Nonprofit Exchange is a monthly event built by the Kearney Area Community Foundation to serve the Kearney area nonprofit community. Our goal is to provide space for nonprofit leaders to come together on topics each month with expert speakers, to share experiences, and collaborate on solutions to strengthen their organizations and community impact.
Events are free to those who are employed at, volunteer for, or serve as a board member in a Kearney area nonprofit organization.

The Nonprofit Exchange
Nonprofit Finance 101
Thursday, October 29, 12:00-1:00 PM

This session will focus on practical insights nonprofit leaders can use to strengthen financial stewardship and align their financial practices with their mission. Learn the fundamentals of financial statements, including key ratios and metrics. You will gain a deeper understanding of operating activities, balance sheets, and how to analyze cash utilization.

Can We Spend That? Understanding Restricted & Unrestricted Funds

Join us to learn what nonprofit leaders need to know about grants, donor restrictions, and the dollars they have available for operations. We will discuss the importance of tracking restricted dollars and deciphering what cash is available and for what purposes.
